Bought one 25 yrs ago. I was doing a lot of chimney(ladder) work & didn't want to take both hands off the ladder to trim(wack!) small branches in the way.With 3 or 4 shots I could dispatch the offending wood-- sharpened easily on a stone and traveled well on your belt. Some sob snatched it. Sorry to hear that quality/customer service have become an issue--.

Great design, good steel, poor execution, non-existent customer service

I've wanted one of these for a long time and was excited when they showed up in stock a month or so ago. My excitement decreased when I actually received the knife- the grind is the worst I've ever seen, the knife won't even cut paper and near the tip it's actually squared off rather than beveled. No problem I thought, OKC has a good warranty, they'll make it right. Nope, several efforts to contact them over the last month have been ignored. It's a shame that poor execution and poor customer service have spoiled a potentially great product. If you buy this consider it a knife kit as you will have to put in quite a bit of sweat equity to actually make it cut anything.
