My new go too knife maker

My Father bought me this Kukri a few years ago as a birthday gift. I had little use for it until recently when I went camping with some friends. I had been planning on replacing it with a hatchet or tomakawk, but it ended up being SO USEFUL! It is very lightweight and very effective for light woodwork. From removing twigs and wet bark, to hacking off smaller branches. I know longer intended to replace this blade as it will remain a permanent part of my pack. The edge was easy to touch up with a small sharpening stone. It worked very well for batoning branches and chunks of wood.
It does come with a sheath however it's not great. It works well enough that it can be securely lashed to my backpack, but that's about it. I wouldn't want to rely on it for anything else.
This fits a great role between a hatchet and a large knife.

This kukri is awesome. The blade is straight and came extremely sharp. It balances roughly around 2.25 - 2.5 inches up the blade from the handle. The shape was clearly well thought out in the designing process, as most Kukri users and enthusiasts agree - the leaf belly and prominent curve is the way to go. It is hard to find any other kukri under $100 with this shape as your goal, and this well made.
It feels great in either hand and is comforting to know it is machine-made here in the USA (“Handmade” from “somewhere other than USA” means its not bound to certain laws and exempt from anything of your disliking because, well, it was handmade.)
The ONLY REASON this knife does not get 5 stars is because the sheathe is awful and y’all know it. But the incredible design of the blade and quality for the price evens it out. Luckily, so many people have come to this exact conclusion on this knife, that custom sheathes for this particular one are everywhere online.
