The Skinner has a big belly with great curvature for skinning game or providing support in those small chopping tasks and is coupled with a full blade, leather sheath with retention strap and belt-loop style carrying.

Nice design, needs a tune up on receipt

Hunters know how important a good skinning knife is, yet they are hard to find. Most are too big or have a sharp point. The Rat-3 Skinner is a nice shape, size and heft with no sharp points that can pierce a hide accidentally. Regrettably it is not well executed. The grind is very steep and not on center with the blade. One hour with a max rough diamond stone revealed a new edge that sharpened up well with progressive medium and fine stones, but the cutting edge is still off center. This is more of a cosmetic imperfection, but at this price point I expected better.

If you want a unique skinner and have the tools and time to tune it up, this can be a nice addition to your hunting kit. On a positive note, The sheath is quite well done and there is a lanyard hole which is quite handy for a tool like this..
