Ontario Knife Company has produced this knife for many decades and it has seen combat with U.S. armed forces. Needless to say, this veteran blade is not in the business of giving quarter.
I own two of these now, and echo the sentiment that this is the best US-made reproduction of this iconic knife available today.
The M3 knife is iconic. I have many Ontario product and was always satisfied. I’m not sure what changed in production, but the item I received was a not a great representation of the product photo. The handle is oversized, the ricasso had a slight hint of a bend, and The grind was ok, but definitely looked wavy down the center. Overall it’s a functional knife, but in my mind not a true M3 representation.
Have purchased numerous reproduction M3 trench knives over the years. My last purchased M3 was the Ontario brand. Better than the Boker Plus and three others that I have owned. Form, fit, and function by far the best quality and made in the U.S.A..
