The OKC® Besra is a familiar step in folders for Ontario Knife Company. In line with the Shikra, the Besra has a single linen micarta scale for texture and grip, the other side of this knife has a titanium scale and frame lock providing intense durability, safety and stability. Like the Shikra, the Besra gets its name from another small hawk, an appropriate name considering the knife is light, aggressive and talon sharp.

The knife is fine - does what it’s supposed to do. I was more annoyed that I didn’t do more research to see it was made in China and not locally. The other knife I tried to order was just removed from my order without any explanation given. Just got an email saying my order was altered. Not sure if it’s just out of stock?

Just tried it out

Was not what I was looking for but am absolutely pleased with it! Looking for a flat blade and found this Besra knife. Has unique handle and I have found it on me more than on the dresser. It has sleek design and am able to switch the carry clip from end to end with just two screws.

Chinese garbage

Ordered two Besras. They both loosened up and fell apart in a few days. Complete junk.

Just what I was looking for.

Was gifted the RAT-5 from a co-worker, and loved it immediately. It was just a little big for an EDC in my opinion. The Besra checks all the boxes for me. I would have liked to see something a little harder than the AUS-8 steel; but overall I can’t complain about anything this folder has to offer.

Poor Quality

The quality of the product is poor, the finish of the micarta in the holes has a lot of burr and in general it is not polished, also that the handle on the side of the micarta does not have steel it is only the micarta, I expected more than a 50 bucks Folding. And not to mention their customer service through email, they never answered the email, total lack of seriousness in low-cost purchases
