ONTARIO KNIFE COMPANY has produced the following knives for many decades and all have seen combat with U.S. armed forces. Needless to say, these veteran blades are not in the business of giving quarter.
ONTARIO KNIFE COMPANY M7 Bayonet
I have several M7 Bayonets, old issue, foreign sale, current manufacture and the function and quality are the same. I grew up on the M7, purchased an M9 (wasn’t issued one) to me the M7 is perfect for the task, M9 is too fat, heavy and wire cutter is hazardous to use compared to the Soviet design. Be it for use as knife, use as bayonet or just a wall hanger go with the M7. I can’t rate the new M7-B but balance should be about same. My only complaint is the new style scabbard, it feels cheap compared to original green belt hanger. No AR compatible rifle is complete without one.
