I think the handle might need a bit of a redesign. I feel it's a bit short and slightly awkward in for for my hand and the D guard could belly out a bit more to give more room for larger hands, possibly a hand and a half size handle. I found the back of the handle would buck out of the hand easily when striking and my index finger would smash into the D guard so possibly a grippier finish on the handle material would help minimise that. Presently to make the machete useable, I've cut off most of the D guard regrettably, leaving enough up front to be a hilt guard and enough at the back to help minimise the hand slipping off in wet conditions. The steel seems to be handling the work well enough so far. I'll be looking into making the handle surface grippier or just adding a paracord wrap.
